Scrapbooking
Dmarie is a great place to shop or
just to visit. I have ordered scrapbook supplies on an afternoon
and had them sitting on my doorstep the next morning. I also enjoy
the scrapbook ideas, bulletin boards and other resources at this
site.
www.dmarie.com
Creating Keepsakes is the number one
scrapbook magazine. It is filled with page ideas, great articles,
and plenty of advertisements of the latest must-have tools to drool
over.
www.creatingkeepsakes.com
Memory Makers is another wonderful magazine.
Being the compulsive scrapbooker that I am, I subscribe
to both magazines.

Lettering Delights is a font-lovers paradise. I have horrible
printing so I rarely write on my pages. But that doesn't mean I fail to journal,
I just record my stories using one of these crazy or beautiful fonts.

Creative Memories is how I began scrapbooking.
My mother bought my two sisters-in-law and me a beginner's package
of scrapbook supplies. I put mine on a shelf for over a year until
another friend agreed to go to a class with me. Now I'm addicted.

RV Lifestyle
Tiffin Motorhomes is the maker of the
gorgeous Allegro Bus that we are using. If you have ever considered
owning an RV, this should be your first stop; it will probably
be your last. In my opinion, it just doesn't get much better than
this.

Internet Sites
Screenit.com should be book marked
on every parent's computer. Whenever my children want to see a
movie, I simply visit this site and read about every attitude,
questionable word, or flash of flesh in the movie. I can then make
a more informed decision about whether we should see it as a family
or wait until the Dove Foundation releases the airline version. www.screenit.com
The Dove Foundation is a non-profit
organization that I am proud to be a part of. They are involved
in providing family entertainment for children in hospitals as
well as keeping the pressure on Hollywood to produce more quality
movies for families. I am most excited about their newest venture,
the provision of movies that have been edited for airlines. This
way we can watch some of the otherwise fun movies without all the
added "spice". www.dove.org
Womens Ministry.net This
is a great site from the ministry of my friend Jennifer Rothschild. You
can go to this site and find Chrisitian women speakers, singers,
musicians, etc. Plus, you can sign up for Jennifer's bi-weekly
e-mail newsletter which is full of great information about women's
ministry. womensministry.net
Multnomahbook.com has a great section
called "Author Talk" where you can hear, and see, authors
telling about their books in their own words. Go see if you can
find me.

Focus on the Family provides ministry,
information and resources for families who desire to build a strong
home built on godly principles. I am proud to be a part of this
family. www.fotf.org
I have spoken for this phenomenal
organization on
a number of occasions. I wish you could see some of the amazing
pro-life commercials they produce. They know how to approach this
subject with grace, professionalism and power. www.vitaecaringfoundation.org
If you’ve read my book, “The
Facts of Life and Other Lessons My Father Taught Me” then
you may recall a couple of stories regarding my finances. The first
story talks about how I lost all of the money I made on television
and the other story tells about how I got my Mickey Mouse ears
from ebay. In both of these stories Compassion International played
an integral part. In each case I felt the Lord leading me to give
money to this organization. The first time I didn’t do it;
the second time I did. I have learned time and time again that
we can never outgive God.
www.compassion.com
You can download this amazing
software program directly
from their website and if you have children I recommend you do
that right away. This is the best parental Internet control program
I have ever seen. It does a great job of blocking your children
from visiting the sites you find inappropriate. It also has additional
features so that you can determine exactly how long and when your
child can access the Internet. You can also have it send a daily
email to your email address showing you every address your child
visited and it can even log their Instant Messenger conversations
if you are concerned about any of their friendships.

Non-profit organizations
World Vision is a ministry that we have supported
for almost ten years. Our family has a picture of a little
girl that we sponsor from Ethiopia on our refrigerator.
As a homeschool family we have learned about other cultures.
As an American family we have learned to appreciate our
abundance. As a Christian family we have learned to reach
out. And as the Cauble family, we have learned to pray.
Are these any lessons your family could afford to learn
for twenty-five dollars a month? www.worldvision.org
Joni and Friends, the disability outreach
of Joni Eareckson Tada, is dedicated to extending the love and
message of Christ to people who are affected by disability, whether
it is the disabled person, a family member, or friend. Their objective
is to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of this
group of people in practical ways
I was touched as a teenager by reading Joni's autobiography,
and now my two daughters have both been blessed by her testimony.
It is our family's privilege to help Joni reach out to the disabled
community with sensitivity, love and hope. www.joniandfriends.org
Prison Fellowship Ministries is the ministry
headed up by Chuck Colson a man of great integrity and
wisdom. He is doing a mighty job working within the prison
system, as well as motivating the Christians to live a
life that makes a difference in this world. I'm thankful
for his work and we are thrilled to be a part of it. www.pfm.org
WowJam is a ministry based out of
my home church. I have known Steve and Linda Tavani for years and
have watched them pour themselves out to the inner cities with
their heart and souls, with the emphasis on soul. They don't call
it a WowJam for nothing! Steve and Linda pull up in a giant eighteen-wheeler,
that transforms into a stage, where they rock the house, or park,
or wherever else there are hurting people. Check out their site
and consider volunteering for this unique outreach if they are
coming anywhere near your hometown. www.wowjam.com
